Universal:

Star Quilt ($0.99 → Free, 16.3 MB): Design your own unique star, background, and borders with little effort with Star Quilt. It’s great for quilters and anyone that just wants to create fun designs.

You’re able to create entire star quilts with only a few simple taps. To start, choose the number of rows and one of the two layouts. Then select colors or patterns from the menu and fill in your quilt with a tap. That’s all it takes! You’re able to save your quilt to your library or share it via email or your favorite social networks. The app includes more than 100 colors to design with and dozens of realistic patterns.

Star Quilt is available for free for a limited time. It has a 5-star rating with a total of 5 ratings.

qub ($0.99 → Free, 76.9 MB): Show off your cat-like reflexes with this challenging arcade game. It’s perfect for those that enjoy intense minimalist game experiences.

If you’re looking for a challenge, you’ve found it. The object of the game is to guide your white cubes around the screen in order to avoid colliding with the pastel colored cubes. Things are complicated by the fact that your two cubes mirror each other’s movements. If you can survive long enough, you’ll be aided by a brief but powerful shield, allowing you to smash through the colored cubes and earn bonus points. You can also share the experience with a friend on iPad.

qub is available for free today only (10/13). It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 43 ratings.

Lead Wars ($2.99 → Free, 22.1 MB): A turn-based strategy game that plays like those old school pencil and paper war games. Lead Wars is great for anyone looking to take a trip down memory lane.

Lead wars is all about the strategy. You must take control of an entire fleet of planes, tanks, and artillery units by flicking them around hand-drawn battlefields. The line your pencil leaves determines your move or shot. It’s up to you to out-skill your opponent however possible and be the last one standing. The game includes a single-player campaign, two online multiplayer modes, and a map creator.

Lead Wars is available for free today only (10/13). It has a 4-star rating with a total of 180 ratings.

Letter Rain – Get in the game! ($0.99 → Free, 7.6 MB): Craft words from the letters raining down in this fast-paced word game. Anyone that enjoys a good word game will love Letter Rain.

Letter Rain is all about thinking quick on your feet. Raindrops with letters inside them will stream down your screen at a relatively quick pace. You must tap on them as they pass by to form words. When you have a valid word, just swipe up on the screen to score it. If you try to score an invalid word, however, it will cost you two points. You have 60 seconds to create as many valid words as possible. The game also includes online and pass and play multiplayer modes.

Letter Rain – Get in the game! is available for free today only (10/13). It has a 5-star rating with a total of 18 ratings.

Kalley’s Machine Plus Cats ($2.99 → Free, 36.8 MB): An interactive story based on a four-year-old girl’s drawing and her plan to save her dad from his daily commute. Kalley’s Machine Plus Cats is the perfect app for the entire family to enjoy.

Kalley’s Machine Plus Cats is about as interactive as interactive storybooks come. There’s just so much to do! You’re able to follow along with the rhyming story as it’s narrated by Kalley and her dad, or you can touch to read. Each page is littered with crazy ways to interact with the machine. You’re able to spin dials, pull levers, hit switches, smash buttons, and watch what happens. Oh, and there’s cats. Lots of cats that are fun to mess with.

Kalley’s Machine Plus Cats is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 79 ratings.
