Apple retail stores are getting into the holiday spirit

November 17, 2014

You can expect plenty of new offerings this holiday season at Apple retail stores around the world. The updates were introduced by retail head Angela Ahrendts via an internal company video, according to MacRumors.

Beginning today, Nov. 17, Apple retail store employees will be wearing red holiday-themed shirts. Additionally, new Apple gift cards are now available in solid silver, gold, and space gray. These match the color choices for current-generation iPhones and iPads. Like in past years, gift cards are available with a value up to $2,000.

Another change: Apple employees will no longer be wearing their familiar lanyard badge holder. Without the lanyard “there will be more emphasis on employees introducing themselves to customers.”

This is the first holiday season with Ahrendts at Apple, so we can probably expect to see some more changes in the coming weeks.
