YouTube Music Key beta launches with ad-free music, background playback and offline viewing
YouTube is getting into the subscription business. The Google-owned property has just announced the new YouTube Music Key service.
Currently in beta, YouTube Music Key offers ad-free music, the ability to listen to songs in the background, and offline viewing. Subscribers will also receive access to the Google Play Music service.

To receive more information about the beta program, head on over to the YouTube Music Key site here. In a blog post, YouTube said the service will be available to its “biggest music fans” first.
YouTube also announced some changes to its universal iOS app that should be appearing today. A new home for music will show users their favorite music videos, recommended music playlists, and playlists of trending music. The app can be downloaded now on the App Store for free.
Also, coming soon, YouTube will display an artist’s discography and allow users to play a full album with a mix of official music videos and other songs.
