It has been almost three years since Cupertino last updated the hardware for the Apple TV. Nonetheless, the company has been quite busy in recent months at adding content to its hobby device.

The latest channel added to the Apple TV library is Cricket.com.au, launching exclusively in Australia. The channel, according to Cricket Australia, the governing body Down Under for professional and amateur cricket, is free and offers the “latest videos as well as highlights from the archive.”

Cricket.com.au is the latest in a series of international channels available to Apple TV users. Others include: Now TV and BBC iPlayer for those in the United Kingdom, TV4 for Swedish viewers, and Esporte Interativo for folks in Brazil.

The third-generation Apple TV launched in March 2012. A minor hardware update (3rd Rev. A) arrived in January 2013. Since June 2013, Apple has been fairly aggressive in adding new channels to the service every few months.

Channels added in the past year include FX Now, FYI TVNFL Now, Showtime Anytime, and many more.

Apple TV’s competitors include: Roku, Amazon Fire TV, and Google Chromecast, as well as consoles and media hubs such as PlayStation 3/4, Xbox 360/One, and Nintendo Wii/Wii U.
