Wellograph, the first sapphire crystal wellness watch, has announced an OS update and new color choices and straps. The announcement was made at the 2015 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, Nevada.
First introduced to AppAdvice readers in October, the Wellograph is made of stainless steel and aluminum, and features a 1.26-inch low-power rectangular LCD with integrated backlight and two prominent buttons on the right hand side.
The new OS, which will arrive through the free Wellograph iOS app, includes a number of new features. These include sleep tracking and body readiness testing, as well as social integration.
The watch now detects and records users’ sleep patterns (deep vs light) and REM cycles. The readiness test with heart rate variability measurement allows users to track their stress levels. The new Wellograph Live feature allows users to compete with their friends in real time and see their results right on their watch. Users can see the steps of the friends they are competing with, their progression, and the rank of all participants.
Wellograph’s new pink gold and white pearl watch faces make their debut at CES 2015, along with three new leather strap options.
The wellness watch will be available in: white, black, silver, and pink gold. The strap options are: white leather, light blue leather, pink leather, black leather, and black NATO. Watch units and bands will soon be available to purchase separately, with Watch + Strap bundles starting at $329.
I’ve been very impressed with the Wellograph and the team behind it. Though it will never have as many features as the upcoming Apple Watch, the Wellograph does offer plenty of tools worth checking out — with more on the way.
The Wellograph app is available on the App Store. The new update will be available before the end of January.
