It all begins in the simpler times of the 1920s. You must start out by building small structures like bungalows and diners, and then work your way up through the years to construct glitzy hotels and chic boutiques. Along the way you’ll have to make repairs, manage upgrades, and take care of deliveries. Your end goal is to create a bustling and diverse resort. Are you up for the challenge? The game includes 60 levels spanning six decades, 18 buildings to work with, and achievements and leaderboards via Game Center.

Videomator ($0.99 → Free, 5.5 MB): Make your videos stand out by applying different filters and colors with Videomator. It’s for anyone who is tired of standard video.

Videomator couldn’t possibly be any easier to use. All of its filters and color option categories run across the bottom of the screen. Tap on a category to bring up a secondary menu that will allow you to choose a specific filter or color option. Everything is done in real-time, so just point your camera at your subject and start recording. Videomator includes a total of 317 different presets to choose from.

Tower of Fortune ($0.99 → Free, 8.6 MB): A retro-style RPG with a nifty slot machine mechanic. It’s for fans of the RPG genre who also enjoy one-button gameplay.

Play as a retired hero who is forced to draw his sword once again when his daughter is taken by an unknown power. Spin the wheel to battle opponents, earn gold, and obtain special items. The game includes 39 different enemies, 37 types of equipment, 39 combat quests, 12 tavern quests, and three different endings.

Tower of Fortune is available for free today only (02/02). It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 171 ratings.

Universal:

iScanner – quickly scan multipage documents, receipts, notes into high-quality PDFs. Send via email or print. Scanner for iOS 8 ($0.99 → Free, 11.9 MB): Scan documents while on the go with iScanner. It’s perfect for anyone who wants to digitize and store physical documents.

Just place the document you want to scan on a contrasting surface. The app will be able to detect the border of the document and crop it down for you when you take a photo. You can manually adjust the crop if necessary. You’re then able to change the color of your scan and its size before saving it to the in-app library. Scans can be organized within folders, shared via email, and synced with your favorite cloud service. The app also includes the ability to scan multiple pages and set a passcode lock.

Tennis in the Face ($2.99 → Free, 38.7 MB): Help Pete Pagassi save the city from an evil energy drink corporation using only a racket and tennis balls in this physics-based puzzle game. It’s for anyone who enjoys Angry Birds-style gameplay.

Tennis in the Face cranks the absurdity level up to 11. Aim your shot by sliding your finger around the screen and release to smash your tennis balls through the air. The idea is to try to bounce the balls off of walls to reach your targets while using as few as possible. Your targets are robots, policeman, and evil clowns, and they all feature some pretty hilarious rag doll physics. You’re also able to set off chain reactions by aiming at heavy objects, exploding crates, and other wacky items.
