Apple has just updated its system status page to note that the 11-hour downtime experienced in the App Store, Mac App Store, and iTunes is over. We’ve confirmed that all three marketplaces are working just fine, and users should be able to log in to their accounts and download apps without any issues.
Earlier this afternoon, Apple issued a statement saying “internal DNS errors” were causing the issues. Apple said “all users” were affected.
During the downtime, users were able to see App Store and iTunes items, but the errors occurred when trying to actually download an item.
