At more than 100 Starwood hotels around the world, checking in and opening your hotel room door is as simple as using an Apple Watch and the Starwood app.

The process is quick and easy. Once a guest arrives to their destination city, the watch app will show the hotel address and directions in both the default and local language upon arrival.

After registering for the SPG Keyless program, the watch will automatically send guests their room number and will function as a hotel room key at applicable properties. So there’s no need to visit the front desk.

Users can also access their SPG account information and more directly from the watch.

The app was even featured in one of three new Apple Watch commercials unveiled earlier today. Here’s the full commercial, entitled “Us.” Click here if you can’t see it.

SPG: Starwood Hotels & Resorts is a universal app designed for the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad/iPad mini. It can be downloaded now for free.

And, as always, if you’re interested in looking at other watch apps, take a look at our sister site WatchAware. The special section highlights all 2,536 approved watch apps.
