The productive IFTTT apps have received updates that include a Reading List
Recent updates to the apps by IFTTT include a Reading List and new channels. The four apps, which consist of IF, Do Button, Do Camera, and Do Note, help you to do more with customizable app Recipes.
Automatically send photos to Twitter, turn on your Philips Hue lights, and save favorite tweets to Evernote without having to do a thing. These are just some of the Recipes you can use with the IFTTT apps.
An update to the IF app released yesterday, May 13, includes a Reading List. This is much like the Reading List you see in Safari. You can now save articles for later from your device or browser.
To activate the new Reading List feature, update to the latest IF app version. Then just open your app settings, click Channels, and locate the iOS Reading List. Click Activate and you are on your way.
New Channels for the IF app include Amazon Alexa, Beeminder, ThermoStart, WeMo Lighting, and more.
Along with these updates are new Recipe creation flows for Do Button, Do Camera, and Do Note. Dots to distinguish Recipes using the same Channel have been added to Do Button. You will also see handy Recipe tips and recommendations in the different app banners.
What users did not find in this recent update was a fix for the crashes. According to the App Store reviews since May 12, crashes are still occurring for the IF app seconds after opening it. I continue to experience the same problem as others and was really hoping for it to be corrected in this release.
If you would like to try them out, each app is designed for both iPhone and iPad. IF, Do Button, Do Camera, and Do Note are all available for free on the App Store.
