First teased all the way back at CES in January, Griffin’s Apple-certified Lightning cable featuring a reversible USB plug is now available to purchase.

Apple was rumored to include a similar cable with the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, but that didn’t happen. Griffin’s option can easily fill the void. Just like the Lightning connector part of the cable, you can plug the USB end into any port without having to worry about its orientation.

The cable is also highlighted by a braided nylon jacket and an aluminum housing that protects the Lightning connector.

Buyers can select from two different cable lengths. The 5-foot version is $29.99 while a 10-foot cable is $10 more. The three different color options – silver, gold, and space gray are designed to match with the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

While I probably wouldn’t pay extra for the reversible cable, I know more than a few road warrior friends who have been patiently waiting for Griffin’s option to hit the market. And its braided jacket should help the cable stand the test of time and extensive use.
