With iOS 9, Apple has significantly improved the multitasking experience for iPad users. During today’s keynote address, Apple’s Craig Federighi showcased a number of the new features.

Only available for the iPad Air 2, Split View allows two different apps to be open and active at the same time.

Some of the other multitasking features include Picture in Picture. That scales a video down in size while you do something like respond to an email.

With Slide Over, you can open a second app without leaving the one you’re in.

These features will be available for the iPad Air 2, iPad Air, and the second- and third-generation iPad mini.
