Apple will first fulfill online Space Black Apple Watch orders
Anyone who ordered the Space Black Apple Watch online can breathe easy. Apple has recently sent an email to customers clarifying that all online orders for that specific watch will ship before any stock arrives in retail stores.
Here’s the complete email, via 9to5Mac:
Thank you for ordering an Apple Watch. We’re working hard to ship orders as quickly as possible and in the order they were placed.
As you may have heard, some models of Apple Watch will soon be available for purchase in Apple Retail Stores. We’d like you to know that the model you ordered will not be available for purchase in Apple Retail Stores until all current online orders have shipped.
When your order ships, we’ll send you an email with a specific delivery date and tracking information. For the most up-to-date information about your order, please visit online Order Status.
Earlier today, Apple announced that the Apple Watch will finally arrive in retail stores later this month on Friday, June 26. On that day, the device will also be available in a number of new countries – Italy, Mexico, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, and Taiwan.
In the announcement, Apple also said any online orders placed through the month of May, with the exception of the Space Black Apple Watch version, will ship to customers within two weeks.
The 38mm Space Black Apple Watch retails for $1,049 while the 42mm edition is $1,099. Currently, the 38mm version ships in five to seven days while the larger watch will be available in five to six weeks.
I’m glad to see Apple be open and upfront with customers. Even though I ended up purchasing an Apple Watch Sport, I think the Space Black Apple Watch is still my favorite version of the wearable device.
