This week in accessories: Kensington SecureBack for the iPad Air 2 and more

July 10, 2015

Happy Friday and welcome back to our weekly look at some of the newest iOS device accessories to hit the market. In this edition, we’re highlighting two perfect bags to carry all of your iOS devices and much more.

Kensington SecureBack for the iPad Air 2

Designed for specialized use like in the hospitality or trade show industry, the Kensington SecureBack for the iPad Air 2 features a low-profile case that protects the tablet against bumps and scratches. The case itself attaches to the company’s ClickSafe lock and anchor system to provide secure, anti-theft protection. Along with pass through and enclosed power management options, cover plates protect the power button and volume control from any tampering.

The system can be purchased now for $159.99 from Kensington. An iPad Air version is also available for the same price.

Vitesse Messenger from Waterfield Designs

A multi-functional bag perfect for the office or biking, the Vitesse Messenger is made with water-resistant waxed canvas. A special internal pocket can hold up to a 15-inch laptop while three smaller pockets can hold other important items. A waterproof zippered front pocket features a hidden suede phone pouch that can hold even an iPhone 6 Plus. The flap secures to the bag with adjustable leather tabs and black metal studs.

It’s available to purchase now from Waterfield Designs for $159. Buyers can select from a brown, burgundy, or navy version. An optional cycling strap costs $10 more.

UnlimitED for the iPad Air 2 from OtterBox

Made specifically for the K-12 education market, the UnlimitED can withstand drops, dings, and everyday wear and tear. It’s also compatible with common accessories and other charging carts. A clear back allows quick access to an asset tag without needing to remove the case.

The iPad Air 2 version of the cases costs $69.95. An iPad Air version is available for the same price, and buyers can select from a version with or without a screen protector. More information can be found on OtterBox’s site.

Booq Boa Saddle

A perfect companion for a summer excursion, Booq’s boa saddle is covered with waterproof ballistic nylon and features genuine leather handles. The padded laptop interior can protect a Mac or PC with up to a 15-inch screen. It also features a number of other smaller pockets. Keeping with its travel friendly design, the bag sports a luggage trolley pass through and a removable shoulder strap with a lightweight strap buckle.

The bag is available to purchase now from Booq’s site. It retails for $195.
