Shazam keeps you in the app with Rdio and Spotify updates
You love Shazam, use it daily, and have connected it with either Rdio or Spotify for an even better experience. Today, August 5, the popular song recognition app for music lovers takes things up a notch by providing a handy update for those Rdio and Spotify users.
What’s new in Shazam
Shazam users can now add songs directly to their Rdio or Spotify playlists. Best of all, you never have to leave the app. Shazam provides a convenient way to get those songs where you want them. Just select the plus icon at the top, pick your music app, and then add to the list.
Another new option for Shazam users today is a way to try out Rdio Unlimited. You can receive a 48-hour free trial of the service by just signing up for Rdio. So, if Rdio is new to you, now is the time to give it a try.
Great updates continue
Shazam continues to bring new and helpful features all the time. It is a terrific, universal app with Apple Watch support for music recognition and discovery. You can just tap to identify a song, sing along with real-time lyrics, share your favorites, check out YouTube music videos, see recommendations, and more. The automatic capture feature is also wonderful for “Shazam-ing” songs without even having to touch the app.
Shazam is available for free on the App Store with an in-app purchase at $6.99 for Shazam Encore which provides tagging ability without the ads.
