The Pigmies are back in Pocket God vs Desert Ashes
Pocket God, an old and much-loved game on iOS, is back in a brand new app, developed in cooperation with Nine Tails Digital (the folks behind the turn-based game, Desert Ashes).
The title, which launched on iOS recently, indeed ports our beloved Pigmies to the world of Desert Ashes. Called Pocket God vs Desert Ashes, it can be downloaded now on the App Store for $4.99, and it’s optimized for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. Over in the app’s release notes, co-developer Bolt Creative explains:
It’s "Clash of the Titans!" Or, rather, "Clash of the Pygmies and Landians!" In cooperation with Bolt Creative, Nine Tales Digital brings you a new spin on their popular Desert Ashes turn-based strategy game, guest starring a powerful Pygmy army defending their territory. The Desert Ashes Landians have passed through a magical portal to the remote islands of Pocket God. The Landians’ victory over the indigenous Pygmies isn’t as assured as they think. Even with their futuristic weapons, the Landians face a resourceful foe armed with spears… who are in turn allies with head-hurling zombies and sharks shooting laser beams!
This all sounds exciting to us! Pocket God vs Desert Ashes also offers iOS device owners single-player, multiplayer, and unlimited play game modes, and it promises a single player campaign spanning a whopping 10 hours.
If you’re familiar with Desert Ashes, then you’ll certainly recognize the concept in this crossover title; as you’d expect, buildings generate revenue which can be used on the battlefield, you can attack your enemies in turn-based combat, and affecting conditions, including night and day, as well as weather, will have an impact on whether your Pigmies are successful in war.
You can download Pocket God vs Desert Ashes now on the App Store. As mentioned, it carries a $4.99 price tag and is optimized for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. Here’s hoping your Pigmies perform well on the battlefield!
