Today’s apps gone free: Outline, Dayflow, Aura and more
iPhone:
With Dayflow, the clock is always ticking. Once you determine when your work day ends, start adding all of the activities you need to complete. You can allot different amounts of time to each activity with the swipe of a finger. When it’s time to start an activity, simply tap the play button. The clock will tick down on your chosen activity, and you’ll receive a push notification when you’re out of time. You can also switch between activities if need be.
Dayflow – Finish your day activities on time is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4-star rating with a total of 22 ratings.
Aura will automatically determine your location and forecast the weather upon launch. You’re provided with the current conditions and temperature at first. You can then slide your finger around the circle to view conditions and temperatures for each hour. Weather icons will change in real time as will the colors, helping you get a quick overview. The app also supports both Celsius and Fahrenheit.
Aura – A Minimal Hourly Weather Forecast App is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4-star rating with a total of 34 ratings.
Universal:
It’s completely free of buttons, menus, and in-app purchases, so your young child can mash away on the xylophone without any interruptions. The app also includes a fully interactive environment, allowing your child to activate a variety of animations by tapping all over the screen.
Jungle Jam – Child Friendly! is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 60 ratings.
iPad:
Outline can be whatever you want it to be. You’re able to sketch ideas, organize notes, annotate documents, keep a journal, and so much more. It has a wide variety of built-in pens, highlighters, styles, tables, and formatting options to choose from. It also includes Pogo and JotScript support. Your notebooks can be encrypted, exported as PDFs, and shared to the cloud.

If you are a developer who would like to get your app included in our “Apps Gone Free” daily lists, here’s our basic set of rules:
- It must have at least a three-star average rating at the time it goes free.
- The app must not have been free numerous times (3+) over the last six months.
- The free version of your app must not include ads.
