A Google Photos update lets you organize pictures with ease
You wished you could rearrange photos in your albums. You also wished you could just back up specific pictures or videos. With an update today, Sept. 3, Google Photos granted these wishes along with a couple more you didn’t know you had.
Rearranging picturesYou can now freely rearrange the photos in your albums easily. When you are inside the album, click the edit icon at the top. Then, just hold down the picture and when it shrinks a bit, move it to its new spot.
What else is included in the updateAlso included in today’s release is the ability to back up photos and videos individually. So, if you are not a fan of the automatic back up and have it disabled, this means you can back up just the items you choose. As for updates to the video side specifically, you can now pick which sections of a video clip to include in movies. Finally, shared Google Photos links will open right within the app, yay!
Nice to see the improvementsBeing able to rearrange my photos as well as individually back them up are both features I was hoping would come along for Google Photos. Sometimes it is just the little things that make you happy. Keep the updates coming, Google, we are happy to see them.
Google Photos is universal and available for free on the App Store.
