Just minutes after today’s special media event, Apple wasted no time seeding the golden master version of iOS 9 to registered developers. It can be downloaded now over-the-air or through Apple’s Developer Center.
The golden master is the final version of the software that will be released to the public next week on Wednesday, Sept. 16. Apple also released the GM version of WatchOS 2, which will officially arrive on the same day.
On the beta front, Apple released the first version of both iOS 9.1 and tvOS. Developers will need to use tvOS to create apps for the newly announced Apple TV. The new iPad Pro, with its Smart Keyboard and Apple Pencil, will ship in November with the final version of iOS 9.1.
