Here's a running list of third-party complications for your Apple Watch
Do you want to put third-party complications on your Apple Watch face? Not sure where to start or how to keep up on the latest? Head over to Reddit, specifically the Apple Watch subreddit thread, where user mvartan is keeping a running list.
Why complications matter
For me, glances on my Apple Watch are not all that useful. If I’m going to take the time to swipe down, and then swipe left and right through a bunch of apps, I might as well just pull out my phone for all of the time savings I get. But the complications are another story. Being able to get app information with a split second glance at your wrist is really what the Apple Watch is about. For more detailed information, you can, of course, tap on the complication to open the app on your watch.
How to add complications to your watch face
Once you’ve downloaded the apps of your choice, you need to make sure that app is shown on your Apple Watch. If you don’t have that set up to happen automatically, go into the Apple Watch app on your iPhone. Tap the My Watch tab and scroll down the app in question. Tap on it and then be sure that “Show App on Apple Watch” is toggled on. Then go back to the top of the My Watch tab and scroll to Complications. There you can change the order of your complications or remove them entirely if you don’t wish to have them as options. Force Touch your watch face to customize, tap on a complication, and use the digital crown to scroll through your options and select the complications you want in each spot.
How you can add apps to the list
If you find any apps that should be on the list but aren’t yet, simply post a comment below the chart on Reddit and mvartan will add it to the list. If possible, use this format: **[App Name](App Link)** | Price | Yes/No complications | Short Description. This makes it easier and faster for mvartan to add the app.
Keep up with the latest
Whether you want a more detailed weather forecast than what Apple provides, or your to-do list, or game updates, or fitness and health information, or a whole host of other kinds of information on your Apple Watch face, there are new complications coming out by the hour. I’d suggest bookmarking this Reddit page and checking back every so often to see what’s new.
