Today’s apps gone free: Shadowmatic, Walk Log, IQ Mission 2 and more
iPhone:
You’re able to select from 35 nature sounds and more than 20 different musical instruments. There are also 18 different combinations to choose from. Then just set the timer and fall fast asleep. Combinations of sounds can be created as well, and you’re able to adjust the audio levels of each one to have them stick out above the rest.
Wo.Audio – Relax,Sleep,Hypnosis is available for free for a limited time. It has a 5-star rating with a total of 108 ratings.
We really enjoy using Anchor Point because of its simplicity. Just tap the “Add Anchor” button to pinpoint your location, and attach a name and icon to it. The location will be stored in your personal list where you can also share it with your friends. When you want to make your way back to your anchor point, just follow the compass or view the directions on the built-in map.
Anchor Pointer — GPS Compass (Find your parked car) is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4-star rating with a total of 110 ratings.
Universal:
Just strap on your shoes and start walking. Walk Log will track your distance, time, and location on the built-in map. When you’re finished walking, you’re able to view your total distance, total time, route, and average speed. All of your walks are automatically logged and recorded, and you can filter your results and view them on a graph. Walk data can also be synced with iCloud, shared, and backed up. Walk Log allows you to craft your own routes by hand as well, and you can use them as your default routes.
Walk Log is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 35 ratings.
IQ Mission 2 has not one, not two, but three different types of puzzles to solve in three separate cities. In the first city you travel to, Tikal, you’ll be asked to move a coin between rotating fields in order to get it to its target. When you make your way to Tokyo, you’ll need to jump tokens to get them into their appropriate slots. Your trip to Barcelona will require you to rearrange pieces to form a specific shape. All in all, you will be tasked with solving 96 puzzles.
IQ Mission 2 is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 91 ratings.
Shadowmatic is a work of art. It puts you in control of an abstract 3-D object. You’re able to rotate the object in every way imaginable. A spotlight is placed behind the object and projects a silhouette on a wall in the room. You must create something from that object that’s recognizable. It may not be obvious at first glance, but the silhouette will eventually take shape. The app includes 10 environments, 80 levels, secondary objectives, and atmospheric music.
Shadowmatic is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 1568 ratings.
