Achieve email nirvana with Zero, an email client for iOS

Zero, an iOS app that recently got a much appreciated update, is an application that can help iOS device owners reach that much coveted state of email nirvana: inbox zero. You can download Zero free of charge on the App Store, and it’s optimized for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.

So, what does Zero do that the built-in, default iOS Mail application doesn’t? Well, for starters, it’s designed to make email easier to digest through reimagining the inbox. Instead of listing email, then, Zero presents users with cards (called, in the app, the “Mailfeed”), which provides summaries of the content of each individual message. The order these messages are displayed in, too, isn’t based on something so intangible as time. Instead, Zero uses smart prioritization algorithms to learn, on the go, which messages are most important, and displays these first.

Developer Mailfeed, Inc. explains:

Zero’s unique self-learning prioritization algorithm can sort messages by importance. Think of Zero as your personal email organizer and inbox agent. Whether you use Gmail or Yahoo, want to search, archive or delete mail, Zero makes it easier than ever.

Also, because emails are presented as cards to be swiped, users can quickly process the contents of their inbox using a series of touch-based gestures. Swipe to archive, tap to read more; cleaning your inbox up has never been easier, Zero’s developer promises.

Unlike other email apps, Zero focuses on the mail you should keep, rather than what you should delete. Zero transforms the idea of inbox management, creating a clean flow with easy access to the most important parts of each email.

Finally, Zero is private and secure; data is never, ever shared with third parties, and personal information remains either on your iPhone, or with your email provider. So you have no worries in that respect.

Better still, Zero’s most recent update added a slew of improvements, including iOS 9 support, multitasking support for the iPad, landscape support for the iPad, support for push notifications, and a number of further fixes.

Think your email inbox is in need of some help? Zero can be downloaded on the App Store free of charge, and as mentioned, it’s optimized for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
