Capitan's shopping list app means you'll never forget an item again
Grocery Shopping List, a new iPhone (and Apple Watch) app from the good folks at Capitan Inc., promises to take the strain out of managing your grocery shopping list.
You can download Grocery Shopping List now on the App Store, and it’s indeed optimized for the iPhone, iPod touch, and Apple Watch. In fact, we first told you about the application back in March, before the Apple Watch reached store shelves. At the time, Jeff Byrnes explained that Capitan’s application aims to learn users’ daily shopping habits, and through doing so, is able to make smart recommendations when you’re near certain stores.

He explained:
The app starts by helping you to build your shopping list. As you use Capitan over time, it learns your shopping habits and can remind you that you normally buy milk at a certain store.
Inside and outside the store, Capitan is at work to make your shopping experience easier. As you approach the store, the Watch app will ping you to let you know you are near the retailer, asking if you want to view your groceries list.
Of course, background GPS monitoring means your iPhone’s battery life could take a hit. But this might be worth it, if it means you’ll never run out of essential groceries.
However, the features don’t stop there. Because once you’re inside the grocery store, Capitan’s application will continue to buzz and alert users, since, for many stores, it knows exactly where items are located on the aisles. Using your iPhone or Apple Watch, then, users can have Grocery Shopping List take them by the hand (or, rather, wrist), and fix up their shopping list from start to finish.
