Snagajob, a Tinder-like app for job hunters, receives a nice update

You can use an iPhone to find a much better kind of hookup. Think of Snagajob like Tinder, but for job seekers. The app is designed to bring together employers and applicants looking for hourly work.

Currently, there are more than 350,000 jobs in the United States across a variety of industries to apply for. And with a recent update, the app has added a notable new improvement.

Using the new personality quiz, Visuality, job seekers can discover their strengths and see some possible employment opportunities that they might like. Employers can also view and learn more about an applicant’s personality. The test itself can be completed in less than three minutes and the company says that it has a higher reliability rate compared to other tests like Myers Briggs.

One of the more interesting features of the service is its 1-Click Apply feature. As the name suggests, a job seeker’s profile on the service can now act as a complete job application that can be quickly and easily submitted to any applicable listing.

According to the company, the feature increases job posting views by 50 percent and sees a 90 percent completion rate on mobile devices. So that will hopefully give employers more candidates to select from and shorten the time it takes to fill a position.

I’m not exactly looking for a job, but in the few minutes I used the app, I was really pleased with the UI and its simplicity. There were a number of jobs around my area. This looks to be a great app for teens and others looking for part-time or seasonal work.

The Snagajob app for job seekers is universal and designed for the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad/iPad mini. It’s free to download. There’s a separate app for employers, which is just designed for the iPhone/iPod touch.
