The Martian: Bring Him Home offers sci-fi gaming for iOS and Apple Watch
The Martian: Bring Him Home, a recently released application for the iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Apple Watch, offers gamers the chance of jumping into the best selling novel and critically acclaimed film, “The Martian.”
Created by Little Labs, Inc. (with some help from the novel’s author, Andy Weir), Bring Him Home allows gamers to play as a NASA communications specialist on Earth, who is the sole contact of stranded-on-Mars astronaut (and botanist-engineer extraordinaire) Mark Watney. In essence, Bring Him Home is a text-based game that allows players to determine their own adventure, but this is no bad thing. Because of this, it’ll appeal a lot to fans of the original novel, but this text-based mode of gameplay also means that Bring Him Home is perfectly suited to the Apple Watch.

- EXPLORE & REPLAY: Your decisions affect the story outcome. Play again and again to experience different twists and turns.
Of course, notifications which come through the application concerning Mark’s progress on Mars will buzz at your wrist, allowing gamers to make on-the-spot decisions using the application on their Apple Watch. You can also receive data on Mark at the wrist, too, including his heart rate, blood pressure, and body temperature. If something goes wrong, you’ll hear about it with a tap at the wrist!
