Verizon and Enlight bring stunning photo editing for free

October 14, 2015

One of the most comprehensive photo editing apps on the market is Enlight, which usually sells for $3.99 on the App Store. Through a partnership with Verizon, the app will be at no cost for a very limited time. From 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. EDT today, Oct. 14, you will be able to download Enlight absolutely free.

Enlight was featured by Apple as its marquee Editors’ Choice app around the world for the entire first two weeks after the software’s release, and we found it to be on par with Pixelmator and victorious over Filters for iPhone in two of our App Smackdowns. Christine Chan called Enlight “the best all-in-one photo editing app for your iPhone,” and the program is now available on the iPad, too.

The giveaway comes as part of Verizon’s #whynotwednesday promotion, the carrier’s weekly commitment to encouraging its customers to try out new, exciting digital experiences. In the most recent #whynotwednesday event, Enlight and Verizon will be holding a photography competition. This competition is themed around fall colors, and encourages users to edit their fall color-themed photographs and submit them via Twitter using the #whynotwednesday hashtag. The deadline for the competition is 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16, and a lucky winner will receive a one-on-one photography tutorial.

In the past, Verizon’s #whynotwednesday promotions have included football trivia contests and access to free food, just by tweeting a burger emoji.

Enlight is designed for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch, and requires iOS 8.1 or later. Normally $3.99 on the App Store, you can grab this wonderful image editing app for free today, Oct. 14, from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. EDT.
