Nuzzel 2.0 for Twitter adds smart feeds, revamped search and more
Twitter fans can use an app like Twitter, Twitterrific, or Tweetbot in order to catch up on their timeline while on the go, but for a closer look at the news people are talking about right now, an app like Nuzzel might be of use. If you haven’t come across Nuzzel before, there’s actually been no better time to take the app for a spin: the software has just received a major update that’s available now on the App Store.
Nuzzel presents users with the most popular links shared by their Twitter followers, and it organises these articles using an easy-to-read interface. You can configure the application to only show links from people you follow, or you can widen the circle in a number of different ways. It’s all great, offering iOS device owners a quick-fire way of catching up on the most important news of the day.
Nuzzel is the super easy way to discover the most important news you really need to see. Connect your Twitter account to see the top news stories shared by your friends, or just discover feeds of top news covering thousands of topics and communities.
It’s all bigger and better in Nuzzel 2.0, however. The update launched on the App Store recently, and it makes three main changes to how Nuzzel works. First, users can now search for top stories on any topic of their choosing; search terms yield links (and stories) based on what’s currently trending. You can then read an individual article as if it’d appeared via a friend’s timeline.
Along with search, Nuzzel also includes a new discovery feature. Here, categories are presented for users to choose from, and these use Twitter lists in order to work. And finally (and perhaps most usefully), users of the application can now also add any feed to their list of favorites, and can easily swipe between them for quick navigation.
All in all, Nuzzel 2.0 is a great release, and it’s something Twitter fans should definitely consider downloading. Plus, you can’t argue with the price: the application is available free of charge, and it’s optimized for the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad.
