Stressed people turned to adult coloring books in 2015. For digital artists, one of the best was Colorfy. Compatible with Apple Pencil, the freemium app is “the secret against anxiety.”
Copied, released Oct. 28, iPhone/iPod touch and iPad
This full-featured clipboard manager makes it easy to save text, links, and images that you’ve copied from any app. Quickly access your saved clippings from the Notification Center or using the Copied keyboard. Copy them back to your clipboard in their original format or in a variety of different formats with templates.
Does not Commute, released March 5, Universal
An Apple 2015 Design Award Winner, Does not Commute features incredible graphics and driving challenges. Watch for trees and buildings and there’s no telling where the next turn will take you.
HBO Now, released April 6, Universal
Cutting the cord finally became a reality in 2015. For the first time, one could get HBO without also having a cable or satellite subscription. Other a la carte services soon followed including Showtime Anytime.
How Many Saturdays?, released Nov. 12, iPad only
Life is full of events, big and small. This unique app tells you how many of these events are ahead for you before the grim reaper arrives.
Among the questions answered: “How many cat lifetimes until you die? How many blue moons? How much space junk has fallen to earth since you were born, and how many breaths have you taken?”
Pigment, released Dec. 17, iPhone/iPod touch and iPad
Similar to Colorfy, Pigment features 200+ hand-curated, professionally drawn illustrations, eight different kinds of pencils, markers and brushes, and an unlimited number of colors.

Rayman Adventures, released Dec. 3, UniversalThe app itself is easy to navigate, the designs are beautiful and fun to color, and the tools are rather extensive, giving us a lot of different methods and options for completing a design.
The latest Rayman platformer game features a brand new character — or rather, a new set of characters called the Incrediballs. Rayman, the eponymous limbless character remains, however.
