Clans of giant morphing alien robots clash in Transformers: Earth Wars
A new Transformers game is set to roll out soon.
The upcoming game is called Transformers: Earth Wars, and it sees the titular giant morphing alien robots from Hasbro fighting for the future of the titular planet (none other than ours).
Autobots vs. Decepticons
Developed by Space Ape Games (of Rival Kingdoms and Samurai Siege fame) and published by Backflip Studios (DragonVale, NinJump, and Paper Toss, just to name a few), Earth Wars is a 3-D real-time combat strategy game in the vein of Supercell’s hugely popular Clash of Clans.
Like many other games based on the Transformers franchise, Earth Wars has you siding with a faction: You can join Optimus Prime and his heroic group of Autobots to defend the world or join Megatron and his assault team of Decepticons to ravage the planet.
“Players can join their favorite Transformers faction, assemble a powerful team of playable characters, raid enemy bases for Energon stockpiles, and construct the Space Bridge to add reinforcements from Cybertron, all while playing in real-time against other players around the globe,” Backflip Studios notes.

Authentic graphics, stories and voices
Earth Wars serves as an extension of the Generations Prime Wars trilogy. As such, it boasts artwork inspired by the series, dialogue penned by the renowned Transformers comic book writer Simon Furman, and voice acting by Peter Cullen and Frank Welker, the original voices of Optimus Prime and Megatron, respectively.
Spring rollout
Transformers: Earth Wars is currently in soft-launch mode in select markets. It’s scheduled to be officially launched as a free-to-play title on iOS around the world excluding China and Japan sometime this spring.
You can preregister now, though, to get insider access and exclusive perks by visiting the game’s official website.
