If you’re anxiously awaiting Apple’s next big event, that might only be about six weeks away. According to sources held by 9to5Mac’s Mark Gurman, Apple is set to refresh three major product categories in an event on Tuesday, March 15.

We’ve previously reported on a rejuvenation of the 4-inch iPhone lineup, with rumors now pointing to an upgraded iPhone 5s dubbed the “iPhone 5se.” The new device will come in the same form factor as the iPhone 5s, but slightly less shiny and possibly featuring the slightly curved edges found on the current generation of handsets. Inside, though, the device will be all new, with an A9 chip and improved cameras, along with support for Live Photos and Apple Pay.

Also rumored for the March event is the launch of the iPad Air 3. In the first significant update to the 9.7-inch tablet since October 2014, the iPad Air 3 is expected to include features like enhanced speakers and a Smart Connector, possibly pointing to a smaller Smart Keyboard. There have also been unconfirmed drawings from case makers indicating the possibility of a rear-LED flash, which would be a first for any iPad model.

Finally, the event is rumored to feature a refresh of bands and software for the Apple Watch. There will be new colors for the rubberizedSport bands, along with a space black version of the Milanese Loop and new Hermès bands. Rumors are also pointing to a new offering of bands made from a completely different material, possibly high-quality NATO-style nylon.

Whatever March brings, I hope Cupertino does truly have something in store for us. It would be great to see a new iPad Air, especially if it supports the Smart Keyboard as 9to5Mac’s sources indicate. We’ll keep our ears to the ground, and report any new developments to you right here at AppAdvice.
