Sort posts and use 3D Touch with the updated Vine app
In an update today, Feb. 9, Vine users can now enjoy a couple of cool, new features. For easier viewing of someone’s posts, you can now sort them. Plus, 3D Touch support has been introduced for you iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus owners letting you create a Vine or Explore others right from your home screen.
Sorting feature
To use the new sorting feature, first just access a specific user’s account. Next to Posts, you should see a small clickable icon. By selecting it you can then choose to sort that user’s posts by Newest, Oldest, or Popular.
If you do not see the new sorting feature in today’s update, you are not alone. Although the update has been released, I do not have this feature quite yet. So, check back in with the app throughout the day and hopefully it will pop up.
Coming soon
The Vine Blog also mentions a new feature on the way to iOS users that will allow you to edit your Vine’s caption. You will have a short period of time to do this after you have published your post by just tapping the three-dot menu. This new feature is available for Android users with today’s update, however, those of us on iOS will have to wait a bit longer.
Previous updates
Vine landed on the Apple Watch with some terrific features just a few months ago. And right before that, the ability to remix audio from other Vines was added. In August, Vine introduced music to the mix for discovering new tracks. So, make sure to download today’s update and check for the newest features.
Vine is available for iPhone and Apple Watch compatible with iPad and iPod touch. You can download it for free on the App Store. In other news, check out Wired Magazine goes after ad-blocking software and Start shooting and sharing your videos right from Dailymotion for iOS.
