Today’s Apps Gone Free: Brushstroke, Visual Math, Who Was and More
iPhone:
Color Query puts you in the know. Just point your iPhone at a wall or other object and snap a photo. Color Query will analyze the photo to determine its name and properties like RGB, CMYK, HSB, and HEX. You’re also able to compare colors to five standard pallets, adjust colors, view variations, and save up to 15 samples.
Color Query Pro is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 12 ratings.
Universal:
Brushstroke is all about simplicity. Pick a photo from your library or take a new one from within the app. Brushstroke will automatically transform your photo into a painting. You can then choose a different paint style, color, and canvas. Take some time and experiment, as there are a ton of combinations to create. When you’re all finished, sign your painting to personalize it and send it off via Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook. You’re also able to have your new work of art printed and shipped to your doorstep.

VisualMath 4D is a professional graphical calculator. It allows you to browse through a collection of built-in functions like trigonometrical, rounding, and sum and product or you can compute your own. Functions can be drawn in 2-D, 3-D, and 4-D all with a time variable. You’re also able to save your functions, rotate and zoom in on the graph in three dimensions, and display multiple graphs at once.
Visual Math 4D is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 180 ratings.
Who Was? Adventure has a rather unique mechanic for a trivia game. The heads of famous figures will drop down into the screen. It’s up to you to tap on the person described at the bottom as quickly as possible. Each correct selection will remove the head from the screen, freeing up valuable space. If you guess incorrectly, the head you tapped on will remain and more and more will fill the screen. Power-ups and other objects will also populate the screen. The game includes 85 levels, an arcade mode, and more than 4,500 questions.
Who Was? Adventure is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4-star rating with a total of 38 ratings.
