Today’s Apps Gone Free: Pixel+ Camera, Portafolio, Cubes and More
iPhone:
NoLocation allows you to quickly and easily remove EXIF data from your photos. The data can be removed from new photos taken within NoLocation, or you can import any photo from your library. Keep in mind that NoLocation doesn’t overwrite the original photo. It simply makes a copy of the photo without any of the EXIF data included.

Pixel+ Camera allows you to take the best possible photos. It provides you with manual control over focus, ISO, shutter speed, white balance, and exposure compensation. If you prefer to point and shoot, you can select from one of the other nine shooting modes including landscape, portrait, sports/action, macro, and sunset. The app also includes timelapse, 30 live filters, and an in-app photo editor.
Pixel+ Camera is available for free for a limited time. It has a 5-star rating with a total of 12 ratings.
Universal:
Cubes is good clean fun. The idea is to move cubes around the screen with a swipe in order to recreate the patterns. The catch is that all of the cubes move in unison, so the only way to rearrange them is to push them up against the various barriers. The game includes 127 levels in all.
Cubes : brain teaser is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 26 ratings.
iPad:
Portafolio is a flexible tool for showcasing what you’ve created. Choose from 25 minimalist templates for each new page and populate them with images and stylized text. Pages can be reorganized with ease, allowing you to come back and add to your portfolio. Projects can be exported as PDFs or you can switch to presentation mode and show them off right on your iPad.
Portafolio – Design a Portfolio & Photo Albums is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4-star rating with a total of 25 ratings.

If you are a developer who would like to get your app included in our “Apps Gone Free” daily lists, here’s our basic set of rules:
- It must have at least a three-star average rating at the time it goes free.
- The app must not have been free numerous times (3+) over the last six months.
- The free version of your app must not include ads.
