Bubble Browser for Evernote

Macoscope sp. z o.o.

Explore your Evernote notes with Bubble Browser.

It’s for anyone who frequently utilizes Evernote.

FREE ($4.99) For a limited time FREE ($4.99) For a limited time
Why we picked this?

Evernote can become a cluttered mess full of historical data that no longer has any meaning. Bubble Browser restores meaning to all of that data by providing context in a visual way. The app includes three styles of bubbles, with their size determined by the amount of information within. Tap on a bubble to highlight all others with related information. If you double tap a bubble, the app will group together related bubbles and filter all of your notes. Your notes will all run down the right side of the screen, and you can tap on any one to get a good look at it.

If you have a ton of notes within Evernote, you’ll want to check out Bubble Browser. It’s a really fun way to add context to your old notes.

Bubble Browser only allows you to view content. None of it is editable within the app. Instead, you have to leave and head to Evernote’s website. If you want to edit content, this is definitely not the app for you.

Green Lake Technology Ltd

View your photos and where they were taken within a structured timeline with Photo Journal.

It’s really great for anyone who takes a lot of photos while traveling.

$2.99 $2.99
Why we picked this?

Photo Journal does a fantastic job of reorganizing your photos into a scrollable timeline. Photos are grouped together based on where and when they were taken, and they are accompanied by a built-in map. Tap on the photos to scroll through them one by one, and tap on the map to bring it into full view and search around. You’re also able to earn achievements based on the places you have taken your photos.

If you move around a lot, this is the app for you. It’s clean and simple, and does a great job of grouping like photos together.

If you rarely travel, Photo Journal won’t be of much use to you. Its selling point is its map integration.

CarTunes Music Player

Ryan Oksenhorn

A beautifully simple gesture-driven music player.

It’s absolutely perfect for controlling your tunes in the car.

$4.99 $4.99
Why we picked this?

With CarTunes, it’s all about the swipes. The app puts your album artwork front and center and tucks all other options away in another screen that can be accessed with an upwards swipe. You can tap to play and pause your tunes, swipe left and right to change tracks, hold and swipe vertically to adjust the volume, and even swipe with two fingers to tweet what you’re listening to.

If you need a more efficient way to control your tunes in the car, this is the app for you. It operates perfectly in both landscape and portrait orientations, and provides you with the whole screen to control your music.

Really, there isn’t much not to like here. The only question you need to ask yourself is, is the native music player in iOS good enough for me?

Crowman & Wolfboy

Wither Studios, LLC

Help Crowman and Wolfboy escape the life devouring darkness in this platformer.

It’s ideal for gamers who enjoy atmospheric platformers with tight controls.

$0.99 $0.99
Why we picked this?

It’s difficult to find mobile games with great gameplay and fantastic art direction, but somehow the developers of Crowman and Wolfboy have packed both into their platformer. The game’s starring characters, Crowman and Wolfboy, run in tandem, and it’s up to you to control all of their movements. You’re able to jump, fly, climb, smash, and change directions with simple swipe controls. Try to collect light orbs to push back the darkness while going on the hunt for the items hidden all around the eerie worlds.

If you’re tired from the same old stuff from the current crop of platformers in the App Store, check out Crowman and Wolfboy. It may not reinvent the wheel, but it sure makes it prettier and more fun to roll.

The swipe controls are super simple and rather easy to get the hang of, but they almost take away from the platforming experience. If you like your platformers true and pure, this isn’t the one for you.
