Circadia

Simple Machine, LLC

Get the color bursts to converge on the white dot at the same time in this devilishly tricky puzzle game.

It’s for any puzzle fan who enjoys a true challenge.

FREE ($0.99) For a limited time FREE ($0.99) For a limited time
Why we picked this?

Circadia is unlike any other puzzle game you’ve played before, yet it’s remarkably easy to grasp. Each level presents you with circles that when tapped on will unleash a burst of color. The bursts must converge on the white dot, or dots, all at the same time. The first few levels are pretty easy, allowing you to get the hang of things. As you make your way towards level 100, however, you’re going to come across various speeds of bursts and moving dots that will put your skills to the test.

If you enjoy challenging casual puzzle games, you have to try Circadia. It can be painfully difficult at times, which makes it so satisfying when you complete a level.

Seriously. This is one challenging game. You’re going to find it difficult to make it through all 100 levels. If you’re not up for the challenge, just skip it altogether.

The keyboard includes a handy custom row of Markdown marks and arrow keys as well. You’re able to customize your writing environment by choosing from four different themes and seven fonts. Files can be exported and shared via email, Messages, AirDrop, Facebook, or Twitter, and you can sync your content across all of your iDevices and Macs via iCloud.

If you write for the web, this is the app for you. It’s clean and simple, yet offers all of the functionality needed to get the job done.

This isn’t a regular text editor, as it doesn’t allow you to save files as plain text. If you’re looking for a Word or Pages replacement, this isn’t it.

LostWinds

Frontier Developments Ltd

Unleash the powers of Enril the Wind Spirit to help a young boy named Toku save the enchanted world of Mistralis in this gorgeous platform game.

It’s for gamers who enjoy solving puzzles and exploring.

$3.99 $3.99
Why we picked this?

Although the game’s unique controls were designed with the Nintendo Wii in mind, they work perfectly on everyone’s favorite mobile platform. You're able to direct Toku around Mistralis by tapping where you want him to go. Perform gestures to unleash different wind powers to reach new areas, solve puzzles, and defeat enemies. The game includes beautiful environments with special areas to discover, unlockable characters, the ability to take snapshots within the game, and achievements via Game Center.

If you’re tired of the same old platformers, give LostWinds a try. It was a smash hit on Nintendo Wii for good reason: It’s simply fantastic!

The game is relatively slow paced due to the fact that you’re meant to explore the colorful environments as you wish. If that’s not up your alley, there’s more frantic platformers available in the App Store.

Croco Studio

Your little engineer can put together planes, trains, robots, and more with this entertainment app.

It’s perfect for parents who need a way to entertain their children this holiday season.

Why we picked this?

We’re recommending Build and Play 3D today because almost any child can enjoy it. They’re able to choose from 15 different toys including a cargo ship, firetruck, jet ski, and ATV. Once the toy is selected, it will be broken up into pieces. Your child must drag and drop the pieces into their proper places in order to put it back together. If a piece doesn’t fit, it won’t snap into place, so it’s impossible for your child to make a mistake. When the toy is complete they can play with it within a unique environment.

If your child has fun building things, they’re going to enjoy Build and Play 3D. The 3-D graphics are perfectly rendered, making it look as if your child is putting together real life toys.

If your child is under the age of three, they’re not going to be able to get a handle on this entertainment app
