The board game is composed of three rows and three columns of cards. You try to move your thief past guards, through traps, and to collect gold. The game gives you limited stealth, and every move costs stealth points, so you need to be careful with every card you move to.

Be sneaky. Stealth is the name of the game in Card Thief. Draw your path (as long as you have enough stealth points) and then make your way through the deck and steal treasures and pickpocket the guards.

Don't get caught. As a thief, you work in the shadows. Make sure to extinguish the lights and make your way around the guards for treasures. The game requires a lot of tactical planning and stealth in order to be successful.

Equip yourself. When you're successful with heists, you have the ability to unlock and upgrade equipment cards. You can take up to three with you in a game, and these provide you with special abilities that make heists even easier, netting you better scores.
