App Store Description

The eFace Auth application is developed according to the most actual services and technologies which could guarantee secure and accurate identity authentication. Nowadays for many services is essential to prove that the users are the same as who they say they are. For stronger identity authentication the eFace Auth app has to be used along with a valid Passport issued by a state which is part of the European Union.
There are 2 main phases of the process of identity authentication:
1. Taking photos of the Passport with the smartphone’s camera as well as a machine-reading process where the information from the digital part of the Passport has being read via the NFC tool of the smartphone.
2. Taking “selfies” (photos of yourselves) and recording movements of your face. The taken photos are compared with the photo which is on the Passport and the recording of the movements is automatically analysed in terms of confirming that the user in front of the camera is a real person. In case of discrepancy the process of authentication will be stopped and the user will not be able to authenticate themselves.
The eFace Auth app is highly effective due to the process of matching the person’s data from the Passport and the facial recognition which has been done. The performed liveness checks verify that the taken selfie totally matches the face from the recorded video and the photo from the Passport. Having those security “layers”, eFace Auth is the perfect service which can be used for remote identity authentication.
