1Password 8 for Apple Watch Arrives With Complications and More

The biggest new feature in 1Password 8 for Apple Watch are complications. If you don’t now what they are, those are tiny bits of information that you can add to your watch face. So instead of having to open the app, you can see what’s important at a glance.

With complications, for example, you can always have a two-factor code or something else easily viewable on your watch face.

On the Apple Watch app, you’ll have access to view all custom field, like multi-line notes and custom item icons. Markdown is also supported on the Apple Watch.

To always have access to a specific items on your Apple Watch, even without an Internet connection or if you’re away from your iPhone, you can securely sync the data to the watch. To do that, find a specific item on the iPhone and choose the … menu. Then tap Add to Apple Watch.

When viewing passwords, you can also see the information in Large Type to make it easier to add long strings of text.

You can download 1Password 8 now on the App Store for free. The app is available on the iPhone and iPad along with the new Apple Watch version.

A subscription is needed to use the app. An individual subscription is available for $3.99 monthly or $35.99 per year.

To share with up to five other family members, you’ll need a 1Password Families subscription. That’s $6.99 monthly or $59.99 annually.

Both options offer a free, 14-day trial.

The iPhone and iPad version sports a customizable home screen. You can hide, unhide, and reorder what’s seen depending on your preferences. Specific fields can also be pinned to view.

You can also access the navigation bar throughout the app. That allows quick home screen access, the ability to search, access to all items across accounts, and the new Watchtower feature.

With Watchtower, you can improve your overall security with actionable alerts. There is also a security score to give you a better idea on how you can improve. The feature will continually evaluate and change you score if needed.
