3..2..1..Go! Mario Kart Tour Races Into the App Store

Taking the classic and popular franchise to the iPhone and iPad, the game features a one-finger control system to steer and drift. That also means the game will only be available to play in vertical mode.

Mario and friends race on courses inspired by real-world cities along with other classic courses. The destination courses will rotate every two weeks, and many of the racers will receive variations that incorporate the city.

A new way to help race to victory is Frenzy Mode. With that, you’ll receive an unlimited supply of a certain item and become invincible for a limited time.

During the race, you can earn Grand Stars to unlock more drivers along with different carts and gliders.

And in some races, crossing the line first isn’t the goal. Some of the bonus challenge courses include Vs. Mega Bowser and Goomba Takedown.

Even though there is no true multiplayer option, You can compare your scores with other players from around the world.

Mario Kart Tour is available for both the iPhone and iPad. It’s free to download with in-app purchases. There are a number of different in-app purchases available.
