5 Tips to Help Conquer Marvel Snap
New Way to Earn Cards
Originally landing in October, the collectible card game features short and quick battles. Each game last around three minutes with a focus on the fun.
Playing is easy and should be familiar to even the most novice card battle player. You’ll start with three cards from your deck and then draw a card at the start of each turn. There are six turn total to win each battle.
Each game features three random locations from more than 80 across the Marvel universe. All of the locations have different effects that will require a good dose of strategy to win game.
The player who adds more power to a location will win it. To win the battle, you’ll have to have the most power in two of the three locations on the board.
And the app has just recently been updated with some great improvements.
The biggest addition is Collector’s Tokens. Those will be available to anyone over level 500 in Collector’s Caches or Reserves. Those tokens can be used in the aptly named Token Shop to buy cards you don’t already have.
The shop will rotate every 8 hours so make sure to come back and find the card you want.
A number of new card have also been added—everything from She-Hulk to Thanos.
Here are five tips to help you conquer the game.
1. Make sure your deck features a wide variety of power cards. While it might be tempting to add your deck full of 5-power or 6-power cards, it’s vital to keep your deck with a wide variety of different cards. That will help you be able to start building a lead in early parts of the game.
2. Create multiple decks. After playing or a while, you’ll likely have a huge number of cards. To help you manage everything, you can easily build a number of decks you can select from when it comes time to battle. You can even select from different card backs from each deck.
3. It’s OK not to use all of your energy in each turn. When starting out with the game, you might be tempted to make sure all of your energy is used each turn. But there’s no need to worry. Being conservative with cards placement in early rounds can help you understand your opponent’s strategy and allow for better use of cards in later rounds. And some cards, like Sunspot, get even better when you have unused energy.
4. Take advantage of daily rewards. Marvel Snap is a freemium game, so there are multiple opportunities to get cards and more with in-app purchases. But if you’d rather not spend a bundle, make sure to take advantage of daily rewards. You can earn those by completing different tasks during play.
5. Always make sure to read the location descriptions. Winning Marvel Snap is in the details, or more precisely the location descriptions. Make sure to carefully read each one when they are unveiled. They will definitely impact your strategy and which cards to play. Also make sure to read the app’s News screen. That will highlight any locations that will are more likely to appear.
