A New Tetris Game Lands on the App Store
It’s been an interesting week for Tetris fans. Earlier this week, EA announced that its Tetris and Tetris Blitz game will officially stop working in April.
But there’s no need to worry. N3twork has just released an official Tetris game developed along with The Tetris Company.
Old and new players should be able to dive right into the new game. The traditional gameplay requires you to clear lines and score. Touch controls make it easy to rotate blocks quickly.
While the game features an online mode, you don’t need an Internet connection to play. That makes it a great choice for a plane ride or long car trip.
There are more than five themes and 50 avatars to select from.
More gameplay modes are promised in the future.
Tetris is designed for the iPhone and all iPad models. It can be downloaded now on the App Store for free. An in-app purchase of $4.99 will remove all of the advertisements in the app.
