Formerly Google Play Newsstand, the redesigned Google News app offers a new design and many new features for news junkies.
The first section in the app, For You, features five stories that the app has organized with a mix of headlines, local news, and topics of interest. The section will also be updated throughout the day.
Headlines will provide news from all over the world including an additional section on tech, business, sports, entertainment, and more.
Through the Newsstand section, users can find and follow different news sources and also subscribe to publications.
One of the most unique features of the app is the full coverage feature. Just tap on a story to see everything online in an organized format with a timeline, FAQs, important players, and more.
Designed for the iPhone and all iPad models, Google News can be downloaded now on the App Store for free.
