Adobe Photoshop Arrives for iPad
A little more than a year after it was announced, Adobe Photoshop has officially arrived on the App Store for iPad.
Making the Move to iPad
Adobe is focusing on providing core composing and retouching tools that work best on the iPad and with either generation of Apple Pencil. In the future, Adobe is planning to enhance tools for brushes, masks, refining edges, and selecting smart subjects.
Anyone familiar with Photoshop will be at home on the iPad with popular features like spot healing, a clone tool, blend mode, and more.
Just like on the desktop version, the iPad app features quick access to a Layer stack and Toolbar tools. Thanks to the content-aware UI, you’ll only see core tools and panes while working.
All of the documents created and edited on an iPad are automatically saved in Creative Cloud for access anywhere with Photoshop.
You can download Adobe Photoshop now on the App Store for free. There is a 30-day free trial to try out the app. After that, it requires a $9.99 per month subscription.
Anyone with a qualifying Adobe Photoshop subscription can use the app for free.
The app is supported on the following iPad models with iPadOS 13 installed:
• iPad Pro (Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi and Cellular)
• iPad Pro (12.9-inch) and 2nd generation
• iPad Pro (10.5-inch)
• iPad Pro (9.7-inch)
• iPad 5th Generation
• iPad Mini 4
• iPad Air 2
