Adobe Photoshop for iPad Adds Content-Aware Fill, Remove Background and More
Photoshop for iPad continues to get even better. Adobe has just announced a number of new features for the popular app.
Remove Background With a Single Click
First up, the app is adding the same Content-Aware fill found on the desktop version. With the feature, it takes just a single tap that fills in a selection based on its surroundings. The AI-powered feature can help remove distractions in photos for blend artifacts.
You can now also remove the background of an image with a single click. Choose Remove Background under the lasso tool or Quick Actions.
Alternatively, you can use a new Select Subject option to choose people or the main focus of an image. The feature is also available by selecting the lasso tool.
Other additions include an auto tone, auto contrast, and auto color feature along with a new font browser.
Adobe’s Fresco drawing and painting app also added a new magic wand tool to quickly select an area of the artwork and then fine tune the selection. A Liquify tool allows you to make substantial changes to images.
Photoshop for iPad and Fresco can be downloaded now on the App Store. Both apps require a separate $9.99 monthly subscription to use the majority of the features.
