Adobe Photoshop for iPad Adds Curves, Brush Sensitivity
Adobe has just updated two of its iPad apps – Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Fresco with new features.
New Features for Adobe Fresco
Photoshop on the tablet now features curves. That allows you to make adjustments to the color and tone of an image in a non-destructive manner.
You can adjust tonal drives for all channels and multi-node selections. There is also a new feature that will recognize when you want to trap and drag or select a node with a finger or stylus.
Adobe is planning to bring numerical inputs and eyedropper tools in a future update.
The other major addition is the ability to adjust the pressure sensitivity of an Apple Pencil for more precise use.
You can download Adobe Photoshop now on the App Store for free. There is a 30-day free trial to try out the app. After that, it requires a $9.99 per month subscription.
Anyone with a qualifying Adobe Photoshop subscription can use the app for free. The app is supported by most modern iPad models.
The great Adobe Fresco drawing app is also sporting a number of new features. Some of the best include a multicolor eyedrops, mixer brushes, and additional keyboard shortcuts.
Most Creative Cloud subscribers can use the full Adobe Fresco on iPad for no charge. If you just want to use all of the features of Adobe Fresco, you can subscribe for $9.99 per month. Adobe offers a free, six-month trial before the subscription kicks in. The free version of the app offers a limited number of brushes doesn’t allow users to export high-resolution files.
