Ambient Sound App Dark Noise Gets New Sounds and More in a New Update
It’s been a little less than a year since ambient sound app Dark Noise arrived on the App Store. And one of our Best New Apps of 2019 is getting even better with a new update to version 2.0.
Custom Mixes and More
The app now offers eight additional sounds in its large library – rain on tent, wind chimes, windy trees, seagulls, lake, ship deck, flag, and lullaby.
To take better advantage of all the different sounds, you can now also create a custom mix of sounds. Those will now be available across all of your devices thanks to the added iCloud sync feature. Favorites will also sync between any device with your Apple ID.
Anyone using iPadOS 13.4 or later can now navigate the app with full mouse trackpad support.
Other additions include better Siri Shortcuts support, an experimental auto-volume feature, and more custom icons to choose from.
Ambient noise can help in a number of situations and make it easier to sleep, concentrate, and more. Now that many of us are spending more time at home during the coronavirus pandemic, an app like Dark Noise can be a big help.
