Apple Introduces iPhone 16 Lineup, Apple Watch Series 10 and More
At today’s special media event, Apple introduced a wide variety of new products. Here’s what you need to know.
iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max
Apple’s iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are here with larger displays and much more.
The screen of the Pro is now 6.3 inches and the Pro Max clocks in at 6.9 inches.
Joining the Action Button introduced with the iPhone 15 Pro series is a new Camera Control button. The tactile switch, force sensor, and capacitive sensors allow you to quickly launch the Camera app, take a photo, and start a video. Third-party developers will also be able to make use of the control.
Both models now features the 5x Telephoto camera and you can now records 4K 120fps video in Dolby Vision. The models will also record videos with Spatial Audio.
Each Pro option sues the A18 Pro chip with a faster 6-core GPU and 6-core CPU.
Both of the pro models will be available in black titanium, natural titanium, white titanium, and desert titanium. The smaller models starts at $999 while the larger version beings at $1,199.
You can pre-order starting on Friday, Sept. 13 with order arriving on week later on Sept. 20.
iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus
The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus are getting better with both the Camera Control and Action button from the Pro lineup.
Thanks to a 48MP Fusion camera, both models enable a 2x optical-quality Telephoto option. The Ultra Wide Camera can now be used for macro photography. You can can also capture spatial videos and photos.
Each models use the A18 chip.
Both the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus will one available in black, white, pink, teal, and ultramarine. Pre-orders start Friday with availability one week later. Prices start at $799.
Apple Watch Series 10
Apple Watch Series 10 is here with a new design and more.
The display is the largest ever on an Apple Watch and is significantly larger than previous models. That allows more space to type a message and more.
A wide-angle OLED display is up to 40 percent brighter than the Series 9 when viewed at an angle. The display is also more power efficient when in Always-On mode, refreshing every second compared to every minutes in previous models.
With a larger and more efficient charging coil, the watch can be charge from 0 to 80 percent in around 30 minutes.
Taking a page from the Apple Watch Ultra, the new model also features a depth gauge and water temperature sensor.
The new model can also diagnose sleep apnea.
You can choose from an aluminum or titanium version of the Series 10. Prices start at $399. Pre-orders start today and order arrive on Sept. 20
The Apple Watch Ultra 2 is also gaining a new black finish. That version will also be available to pre-order starting today with orders landing on Sept. 20. The watch is $799.
AirPods 4
Get rocking with the new AirPods 4. Apple also introduced the latest version of the wireless earbuds.
The earbuds are sporting a new design to better fit your ear. Thanks to an H2 chip, the headphones offers features including Voice Isolation for a clearer phone call no matter the conditions.
Along with USB-C charging, the case is 10 percent smaller than the previous generation with the same better life. You can also charge the case with an Apple Watch charger or any Qi-certified charger.
There are two versions available to pre-order starting today and officially landing on Sept. 20. A version with active noise cancellation is $179 while you can also purchase a version without that feature for $129.
With ANC, the headphones feature both the Adaptive Audio and Transparency mode from the AirPods Pro 2.
Apple also introduced an updated AirPods Max with a number of new colors and USB-C charging. Those new options are still $549.
