Apple Releases iOS 11.0.3 With Fixes For Haptic Feedback, Unresponsive Touch Displays

Apple's Software
October 11, 2017

Apple has just released iOS 11.0.3 to the general public. The new software can be downloaded by heading to Settings > General > Software Update on your iPhone or iPad or through iTunes.

Apple details both issues the software fixes in the release notes:

– Fixes an issue where audio and haptic feedback would not work on some iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus devices

– Addresses an issue where touch input was unresponsive on some iPhone 6s displays because they were not serviced with genuine Apple parts

The new software arrives just a little more than a week after iOS 11.0.2 was released that fixed three issues, including a crackling noise during calls for some iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus users.

Currently in beta testing, iOS 11.1 should arrive sometime early next month. That update will bring hundreds of new emoji and marks the return of the 3D Touch app switcher gesture.
