Apple Releases watchOS 6.1 to Support AirPods Pro and Series 1 and 2 Models
You can download the update now on the companion Watch app by going to the My Watch tab and selecting General > Software Update. On an Apple Watch, you can also update by going to Settings > General > Software Update.
When updating, the watch needs to have more than 50 percent power, placed on a charger and in range of an iPhone.
The update offers behind-the-scenes improvements along with support for the AirPods Pro, which officially arrive tomorrow. The software is also the first chance that Apple Watch Series 1 and Series 2 owners will receive of the latest watchOS version.
