The new headset, according to Apple, is a spatial computers that blends digital content with the real world. It’s powered by visionOS.
You can take advantage of a three-dimensional interface so you can see apps side-by-side at any scale.
The two high-resolution displays allow you to transform an space into a personal move theater with a screen that looks like it is 100 feet wide and a Spatial Audio system.
Gamers can also play more than 100 Apple Arcade games at launch with support for immersive audio and popular game controllers.
A three-dimensional camera will allow users to capture moments and relive them with Spatial Audio. You can also access an entire photo library on iCloud.
FaceTime will use a digital representation of the user created with the Vision Pro. Every one on the call is reflected int life-size tiles.
The device will also feature a new App Store with new titles and the ability to download iPhone and iPad apps compatible with the platform.
You will interact with an input system controlled with eyes, hands, and voice. For example, you can browse through apps by simply looking at them. Just tap to select it.
An EyeSight feature help users stay connected with other around them. When someone approaches, you can see them while also displaying your eyes. It also gives visual clues to other about what you are focused on.
While you can use Vision Pro plugged in, it also comes with a battery pack for up to two hours of untethered use.
For security. Optic ID will analyze your iris to unlock the device.
Along with an M2 chip, Vision Pro feature a newR1 chip that analyzes the input from the cameras, sensors, and microphones.
Vision Pro will arrive in early 2024 in the United States and retail for $3,499.
