Become a Synthesizer Wizard with Kaspar by Yonac

July 27, 2017

Finding a good synthesizer app that offers realistic audio when you want it, but still gives you plenty of morphing power, isn't easy. There are apps that do some things well, but lack the other features you want. Kaspar, by Yonac, will help you become a synthesizer wizard, since it offers the power, portability, and playability you want in a synthesizer.

Kaspar is a fully-featured synthesizer with a built-in keyboard. You can also slave the app to other virtual MIDI apps, or play through your own Bluetooth-enabled keyboard.

Whether your needs are simple, like being able to play "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" with reverb and a bit of morphing, or complex, Kaspar has your back.

When you launch Kaspar, you'll see the keyboard and the default morph profile. If you tap in the top left corner, you can change to one of many different "filters," each a MIDI group of settings unique and powerful.

Kaspar boasts eight fully-featured polyphonic synth engines, 24 oscillators and more.

A gigantic multi-engine automorphing SuperSynthesis machine

Of course, a MIDI composition app wouldn't be complete without a way to record your tracks. Kaspar has that, and more. You can record, play back, and loop your own tracks easily on a vintage tape recorder interface.

Kaspar also supports exporting your music, through iTunes File Sharing, email, or simple copy and paste. Even better, you can import music files from other sources. The only thing that won't work, unfortunately, is working with files that come from Apple Music, because the service's file format is protected.

If you're after a simple piano interface, this isn't for you. However, if you want a powerful synthesizer engine that's capable of acting as a recording studio, Kaspar is definitely a good choice. It's feature-packed and offers terrific functionality.

Plenty of synthesizer options

There's no shortage of synthesizer options in KASPAR, from orchestral to grunge and everything in between.

Full-featured keyboard synthesizer

KASPAR is a full-featured keyboard synthesizer, with an on-screen keyboard. It's also MIDI-compatible, so you can use it with an external keyboard or a virtual-MIDI app.

Record, playback, and load tracks

Of course, you can record your tracks in KASPAR. Then you can load them, play them back on a loop, or export them through email, iTunes file sharing, or simple copy and paste. Importing tracks is also supported, but not from Apple Music.
